Wedding Photographer London Gibson Hall Bishopsgate

Wedding Photographer London Gibson Hall Bishopsgate. I can clearly remember getting a phone call from Kirsty. It was the last booking that I received in 2013 and it was around Christmas time. I was more than happy to hear from her as she had been recommended by a previous client who I did a family portrait session for. You can’t get better than a personal recommendation!!!

I remember when Kirsty told me that they were getting married in the City at “Gibson Hall”. Formerly known as the National Provincial Bank of England, this Grade I listed building was, in its time, one of the City of London’s greatest banking halls.  Now, in the modern day, it is one of London’s most prestigious wedding and event venues.

I was very excited to say the least!!! Steve and Kirsty wanted me to photograph their wedding in a natural reportage style, capturing all the fun and details from the day… but they did want a little photo shoot in and around Leadenhall Market – which was only a few minutes away.

On the big day…

The main ceremony was taking place in the Main Hall… WOW! What a hall. With its crystal chandeliers and marble columns, the converted banking hall is a sophisticated and stunning space.

Before the Ceremony, Kirsty waited patiently downstairs with her father and sisters – a perfect opportunity for me to capture a few shots of the bridal party in waiting. Meanwhile, Steve had been waiting upstairs for the arrival of his beautiful bride-to-be.  During the ceremony, we were all treated to a song that was performed by 3 of Steve’s good friends. The song was called “Wear Sunscreen” by Baz Luhrmann and it was really great to see people’s reactions to the song… It was brilliant!!

Leadenhall Market

After the ceremony, Steve and Kirsty were congratulated by their guests and everyone relaxed in the private and secluded courtyard garden. After a short while Steve, Kirsty and myself took a short walk to the Victorian buildings and cobbled streets of Leadenhall market.

I hope you enjoy viewing their pictures as much as we enjoyed taking them.

I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate Steve & Kirsty on a fantastic wedding and thank them for letting me capture their special day. Check out my other recent Wedding Photography
