Greenwich Wedding Photographer Old Royal Naval College

Greenwich Wedding Photographer Old Royal Naval College. One of the things I love about Weddings in Greenwich is that there is always something different to set one wedding apart from another. Rob and Amy’s wedding was no exception. I met Rob for the first time at St Michael & All Angels church, Blackheath Park. If you have ever been to the church, you will notice that it is almost hidden away and is actually on private property.  Built in 1829 the church was designed in a Gothic style with a tall spire 172 feet high, known as “the Needle of Kent”.

Good morning!!!

When I arrived at the Clarendon Hotel to photograph Amy and her bridesmaids, it was surprisingly quiet… everyone was getting ready, no panic, no stress, no screaming… just the sound of drinks being poured!! This was a slight contrast to Rob – when I visited him at home he had lots of family and friends chatting away and there was definitely a buzz!!

Here comes the bride…

I did have a little laugh when the Bride and her father walked down the aisle to “The Final Countdown” by Europe.  All the guests and the Priest really had a good laugh, too. I had a feeling that it was going to be a fun day. After the church ceremony, we all made our way down to the Old Royal Naval College (ORNC) in Greenwich.

Getting to the ORNC was a challenge in itself as Greenwich was hosting the Tall Ships Festival – with major road closures and lots of pedestrianised roads… it was not easy… but we made it on time. While all the guests were enjoying drinks at the colonnades, we were treated to another musical surprise… Rob’s Father was playing the bagpipes to escort all the guests to the sit-down meal in Queen Mary Undercroft’s room.

I have to mention that I loved the table favours that Rob and Amy chose for their guests…SUBBETEO players which were all handmade and painted… soo cool. I would like to thank Rob and Amy for choosing me to photograph their wedding and also for mentioning me in their speeches. It was such a lovely gesture. Thank you
