Barclays Event Photographer London Park Lane Hotel
Barclays Event Photographer London Park Lane Hotel . I was honoured to be asked by Barclays to photograph a charity event they were sponsoring in aid of The Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation. Barclays are a firm supporter of this amazing charity whose mission is to raise awareness of the long term, damaging effects of bullying and to raise funds to support those doing real-world work to stop it. Held at London’s Park Lane Hotel and attended by some well known celebrities who were out in force to lend their support, it was a great opportunity to raise some funds for this very worthy cause.
On arrival, guests were encouraged to have their photo taken in front of the Barclays StandUp backdrop however most needed no encouragement – I have rarely seen so much enthusiasm for a photo opportunity! I was inundated. The host for the evening was ex England Rugby Union star turned broadcaster, journalist and actor Martin Bayfield. What a fantastic host!
Live and silent auctions were held and guests were encouraged to dig deep and bid on various items including signed sporting memorabilia, a dinner with Ben Cohen amongst other things. Celebrity guests Craig Revel Horwood, Dragons’ Dens Deborah Meaden, swimmer and gold medal winner Mark Foster, then joined Ben Cohen on stage for a question and answer session. I was asked to photograph honoured guest and all round genius Stephen Hawking.
The whole night was a super success as all the guests manage to raise and Incredible, record-breaking £108k!!! Just that in itself is amazing… For more up-to-date info on Barclays Spectrum please check out https://twitter.com/barclayspectrum
I would like to thank the Barclays event team who made me feel very welcome and made the whole evening and very enjoyable event to photograph.
